Auntie IRL
Welcome to Auntie IRL — a glimpse into the real life behind the message. Here you’ll find moments from my everyday journey: events I’m attending, things I’m learning, and the ways I’m choosing to show up as my full, unapologetic self. Because becoming unapologetically you isn’t something you arrive at once—it’s a lifelong journey. And around here, Auntie is still doing the work too.

Broadway in FTL: Hell's Kitchen
On March 17, 2026, my friends Tilisa and Shaquira and I put on our green for Saint Patrick’s Day and headed to Fort Lauderdale for an evening of the arts. We started with lite bites at Moxie’s on Las Olas, then made our way to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts to see Alicia Keys’ Broadway musical Hell’s Kitchen—a powerful story inspired by her life and filled with the songs we all know and love. The performance was phenomenal, the cast delivered, and the company made it even sweeter. A reminder that sometimes joy looks like good friends, good food, and being fully present in the moment.

Night Lights & Crowned Pearls
On March 14, 2026, I attended the 4th Annual Night Lights & Crowned Pearls Equestrian Experience, hosted by the Crowned Pearls of Wellington—and it was the perfect blend of elegance and impact. Think Derby-inspired style, fascinators on full display, and an evening centered around raising scholarship funds for local students. From the equestrian showcase to the silent auction, signature cocktails, and the sweetest desserts, every detail felt intentional. But what stood out most? A room full of people showing up in style and in service. Because when elegance meets purpose, everybody wins.

VOW 4th Annual Tea Talk
On March 13, I attended the Village of Wellington’s 4th Annual Tea Talk—and it was giving Bridgerton with a purpose. This year’s theme celebrated women in STEM, honoring the brilliance, innovation, and impact of women in spaces they continue to transform. From the elegance of the setting to a charming tea etiquette lesson from Lady Whistledown herself, every detail felt intentional. But beyond the aesthetic, it was about recognizing women who are building, leading, and shifting narratives in their fields. A reminder that grace and greatness can exist in the same space.

3rd Annual Books & Barbie
On March 13, I had the honor of attending the 3rd Annual Books & Barbie event at a local elementary school—and baby, it was such a beautiful reminder of what community looks like. Women showed up to pour into young girls through reading, encouragement, and presence. There was laughter, student performances, and moments that felt both joyful and meaningful. Each girl left with a new book and a Barbie—because while you can be anything, books help you believe it and become it. Moments like this matter. The seeds we plant early? They grow.

Black Luxe Picnic
The 5th Annual Black Luxe Picnic & Music Festival took place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Wellington Amphitheater, and baby… the rain tried it. Our picnic theme was Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and even though torrential rain showed up uninvited, we still managed to pull the day together and enjoy the food, vendors, and a beautiful fashion show. Once the rain cleared, the vibes were back. We even had a surprise appearance from Miami legend Luke “Uncle Luke” Campbell, who stopped by while kicking off his run for U.S. Congress. Auntie had a time.

Galantines' Day
On February 15, 2026, I pulled up to a Galentine’s celebration where the dress code was simple: red or white and good vibes only. We enjoyed a beautiful spread of charcuterie, crudités, and desserts while sipping mimosas, playing games, and sharing plenty of laughs. The highlight of the afternoon was when my friend Kenya Jaye gave us a special treat by reading an excerpt from her newly released novel, Interlude. Nothing like celebrating friendship, good food, and women supporting each other’s dreams.

Mariah Carey's Holiday Bar
On December 28, I headed down to Miami with my childhood bestie Tilisa to check out the Mariah Carey Holiday Bar pop-up, and the vibe was exactly what you’d expect—all things Mimi, the Queen of Christmas. We’re talking Mariah hits only, festive themed drinks, and plenty of fun photo ops. Somewhere between the music and the holiday sparkle, we even made a new friend, Tony, who just so happens to share our deep love for Prince. Good music, good drinks, and good company—Auntie approved.
